Troll has been depicted as supernatural beings in Scandinavian mythology. They gained wider recognition in the late 1950s when Danish sculptor Thomas Dam crafted a wooden troll for his daughter.
Thomas Dam transformed the traditional image of troll, making them 'it's ugly but it's cute,' and sparked a global troll craze that swept across Denmark, the US, UK, New Zealand, and beyond.
Over the past 60 years, his troll has become one of the best-selling toys, competing with Barbie.
